Task: Talk to Joyce about the Pale without Kim

After triggering the task
Get a Reality Lowdown from Lena in the
Whirling-in-Rags (#2), you'll be able to ask Joyce (#1) about reality. While doing this, if you pass an "impossible" Conceptualization check, then Joyce will mention the Pale. If you ask her about it, then Kim will get impatient, and Joyce will suggest that you come back later when he isn't around. This will trigger the task.
Walkthrough
You'll have two options for ditching Kim. You can come back after he's gone to bed (or when he's otherwise not with you), or you can pass a "medium" Volition check to make him step away for a bit. Either way, with Kim out of the picture, Joyce will describe the Pale to you in great detail, which will complete the task and earn you 30 xp.
Completing the task will open up new dialogue options with Paledriver (#3), which will unlock the thought
Motorway South. Completing the task will also make a Logic check with Soona (#4) much easier. Passing the check will unlock the thought
