It's been in pre release for sooooo long now, I do like what they are doing, but geeze guys.

People expect less of Bethesda. Still, the game runs pretty well on PCs, better than any Bethesda game, at least according to reddit. I am over this game now thankfully, all my disappointment in it being only 1st person is gone. I have now reasoned that it is 1st person only because your character is mostly dressed up looking like a homeless clown.

And they tried to rhyme 'together' and 'mind flayer.' The agony. The weirdest part is they strove to make Baldur's Gate III 'dark,' at least in the opening. Pairing that with the above doggerel is an...interesting combination, to say the least. The devs definitely seem like they'd have enjoyed Spelljammer due to how 'wacky' and 'zany' it was. I think that's even where the flying nautiluses come from.

This here is the very reason why I can't put my trust in Larian, even though their games look good and play fine. These guys are like five-year-olds trying to tell you some old joke they heard for the first time and are so proud of themselves, they tell it over and over again. These poorly written cringeworthy attempts at humor take front and center in all their games.

Happy to hear the game is doing well! In terms of storytelling and RPG systems this is a fantastic RPG. The technical issues are real but not nearly as much as an issue as some say. I'm playing it on the original Xbox one and it's very much playable. Had about 5 crashes in 52 hours (so 10 hours between crashes). Not good but most games don't even last 10 hours. High resolution textures sometimes load in too late. But I haven't seen more than 4 of those super low rez NPCs. And most of the time the world loads in just fine and then the game is simply stunning, even on lastgen.

Ditto, been meaning to say something about the mobile ads. Makes the site very unappealing in comparison. I can't click on anything after the ad shows up.

Happy for CDProjectRED. The game may have its flaws, but I have the feeling they're put through the mangler fairly hard. If it was Bethesda, people would adore, even if it had the usual shallow systems...
