Background

To trigger this task, you'll have to become friends of a sort with Cuno (#1). To do this, you'll need to ask him about his name, get through the ensuing "rape" performance, and then pass an Empathy check to realize that Cunoesse is the cause of most of his antics. If the conversation you have with Cuno after the Empathy check proves fruitful, then he'll offer you some business deals, including mentioning "illegal narcotics." When you ask him about the narcotics, you'll trigger the task.


Walkthrough

Cuno will reveal that his father is a "major supplier" of speed, not to mention "the most violent man in Revachol." Cuno will then ask you to beat up his father and steal his stash, and split half of what you find. With enough Visual Calculus, you'll realize that the father's stash is only half a gram of speed and not anywhere near a kilo, but you'll still be able to continue either way. If you accept the job, then Cuno will tell you that he lives in #12 at the Capeside Apartments (#2).

The apartment building will start out locked. See the Capeside Apartments page for details about how to get inside. You'll find Cuno's apartment on the eastern side, next to the bathroom. It'll be locked, too. To open the door, you'll need to pass an Interfacing check, but you'll be given two cracks at it, and you can make it much easier by equipping Chaincutters (found inside Kim's car, #3).

Inside the apartment, you'll find a Speed Bottle on the desk in the main chamber, and you'll discover Cuno's father sleeping in the bedroom. No matter what you do, the father won't wake up, but if you pass a Perception check, then he'll call you and Kim "pigs" while he's still asleep.

When you return to Cuno, you'll have to decide if you really want to give him drugs or not. Cuno (and the game) will warn you that this is a major decision, but as far as we can tell, it will only change whether Cuno is willing to join you should Kim end up in the hospital. If you give him drugs, then he will. If you don't, then he won't. Afterwards, you'll be able to bring up some of the things you noticed in his apartment, but this discussion won't change how much he does or doesn't like you. Regardless of your choice, you'll earn 70 xp for completing the task.

Note: We're not sure if this is a bug or not, but if you give the Speed Bottle to Cuno, he won't actually take his half. You'll end up with however many doses you had at the time of the exchange. (Cuno will refuse drugs at other points in the game, so perhaps he's just taking the speed here to maintain his image with Cunoesse. Or maybe it's a bug.)
