Background

You'll trigger this task after completing the task Interrogate the Vigilantes, when it becomes clear that Titus (in the Whirling-in-Rags) won't deal with you unless he respects you.


Walkthrough

For this task, you'll need to pass a "godly" Authority check with Titus. Luckily, a high Authority isn't required for this. You can gain a lot of bonuses for the check by making Titus and his gang nervous. Here are some ways to do it:

• [+1] When you first meet Titus, tell him that you need to talk about his attitude, and pass a challenging Physical Instrument check. Then show him *the ugly* or tell him that he's impulsive.
  
  
• [+1] Have the Standard Wirral Die.
  
  
• [+1] Ask Titus about the eighth Hardie Boy.
  
  
• [+1] Complete the task Confront Hardie Boys about Drug Trade.
  
  
• [+1] Complete the task Find the Bullet before You Get Fooled, and ask Titus how the hanged man got shot.
  
  
• [+1] Complete the task Interview the Sunday Friend, and tell Titus that you found a witness.
  
  
• [+2] Complete the task Joyce's Info on the Lynching, and warn Titus about the tribunal.
  
  
• [+2] Complete the task Open Apartment Door for Evrart. Evrart will then tell the Hardie Boys to cooperate with you.

When you pass the Authority check, you'll earn 30 xp for completing the task, and Titus will finally tell you the name of the rape victim: Klaasje Amandou, whom you might remember meeting in the Whirling-in-Rags at the start of Day 1. Depending on what you said to her then, learning this information might cause you to lose 2 Morale and 1 Health, so be prepared. You'll also trigger the task Speak to the Assault Victim.
