Walkthrough

You'll find Dried May Bells on the roof of the Whirling-in-Rags (#1). If you pass a Hand/Eye Coordination check, then you'll manage to grab some before they blow away. If you show these flowers to Rene Arnoux (#2), then you'll complete the task and earn 10 xp. Rene will tell you that the flowers are supposed to bring good luck, but that they didn't work for him. This will provide you with a little more information about the Rene/Gaston/Jeanne-Marie love triangle.

Note: Rene will die on Day 5 and disappear from the game. If you missed your chance to ask him about the flowers, then you'll be able to talk to his friend Gaston instead, and Gaston (now at #3) will tell you roughly the same things about them. You just won't complete the task or earn any xp from talking to Gaston.
