Background

You'll trigger this task when you start to perform a field autopsy on the hanged man, and you realize that you don't have your ledger. If you decide to pause the autopsy so you can look for it, then you'll trigger this task. Otherwise, Kim will give you his Lieutenant's Notebook, and you'll use that instead. You can also trigger this task when you eventually find your ledger.


Walkthrough

You'll find your Damaged Ledger inside the locked trash container behind the Whirling-in-Rags. See the Open Trash Container task for how to get the trash container open. Your ledger will be with the "food waste." Grabbing your ledger will complete the task will earn you 10 xp, and also trigger the task Read Your Ledger and Name the Case.
