Fort Ilkard
1 - EXIT TO FORT ILKARD COUNTRYSIDE

Follow the path from here to get to Fort Ilkard: Countryside area.


2 - RUZOD VOND

Ruzod here will give you a number of general information about the area of Fort Ilkard. It seems that there is some kind of a war going gown there which caused the death of his friend Conmir (The body lying near him). As you will find out later the Fort has been under attack from the Elk Tribe forces for some time now.


3 - ENTRANCE TO THE ORC LAIR

The cave entrance will take you inside the Orc Lair (see also Orc Lair area Walkthrough).


4 - GATE TO THE FORT

Talk with one of the Knights guarding the gate and tell him you were send by Aarin in order to again entrance to the Fort. You can ask a few questions about the Fort as well.


5 - SETTLER'S BARRACKS

Inside the Settler's Barracks you will meet up with Eckel, a gnome that seeks help. After a little chat with him he will let you know that he needs to deliver a note to his wife over at the Homesteads area east of the Fort. You can offer to bring the note to his wife if you like. Also from his saying it seems that the Commander of the Fort, Damas is not very popular amongst the soldiers of the Fort and there is something strange about him.


6 - MAIN BARRACKS

This building is used as the main barracks of the Fort and a couple of knights are located inside. The only thing that the knights will do though is to direct you to their leader, Commander Damas. Damas is located inside the Commander's Lodge at area #7.


7 - COMMANDER'S LODGE

Commander Damas is located inside this building. Talk with him and at first he will ask you to destroy the catapults that are besieging the Fort. Return back here and tell him that the task is done once you destroy the catapults outside of the Fort. For your efforts you will be rewarded with 500 gold pieces and 312 experience points. The arrogant Commander won't hesitate to give you another task when you are done with the catapults. This time he will ask for the head of the Elf Tribe Subchief Arness who is in charge for the assault on the Fort here. The Subchief is located at around area #9 and when you kill him return here with his head and give it to Damas. Once again you will be rewarded with 312 experiences points this time the reward will be 1000 gold pieces.

After doing these two tasks for Damas he will even ask you to find and kill the leader of the Elk Tribe, Zokan Thunderer. The thing is, when you find Zokan over at the Elk Tribe Keep you will learn that Damas caused the plague upon the Elk tribe people by giving them some infested blankets. This was also the reason that the Elk tribe has turned against the Fort and created an Alliance with the Luskan Forces, to find a cure for the plague before the tribe is totally extinguished.

With these new-found information return back to Damas and have a talk with him again. You can now threaten him to give you the cure or pay 3000 gold pieces to get it (you can persuade for less). When the cure is in your possession, return to Zokan and give it to him thus ending the plague upon the Elk tribe and their alliance with the Luskan Forces.

8 - FORT FORCES VS ELK TRIBE FORCES

Along the riverside here you will have to fight several Elk tribe members that are besieging the Fort. You will also need to destroy the six catapults and ballista if you agreed to help Commander Damas. However in order to destroy the catapults you must first kill the catapult commander of each catapult. When all the catapults are destroyed return back to Damas and report it to collect you reward.


9 - SUBCHIEF ARNESS

After destroying the catapults, Commander Damas will command you to kill the Elk tribe Subchief Arness. Arness is located here and might prove quite an opponent to defeat so be prepared. When you do defeat him pick up his head and return it back to Commander Damas inside the Commander's Lodge at area #7.


10 - UTHGARDT COMMAND POST

The command Post of the Elk tribe has been established here and it's used as a base to assault on the Fort. The main forces of the tribe though are already besieging Fort Ilkard down to area #8 so you can expect some minor resistance here once you reach this area.


11 - EXIT TO HOMESTEADS

From here you can get to the Homesteads area, which is also the place where you will find the Elk Tribe Keep. Also on a messenger's body near this exit you will find a letter. The letter is from a person called Wilem and it is a message to his family that instructs them to flee the Homesteads because the area is no longer safe. As you will find out afterwards the family apparently did not manage to flee the house.

12 - EXIT TO THE RUINS

The exit will take you to the ruins area. There you will find the entrance for the Creator Race Ruins.
