Hill Giants Lair-Level 1

1 – EXIT TO MOONWOOD NORTHEAST

The cave exit will take you back to the Northeast area of the Moonwood forest. Once inside the Hill Giants Lair be prepared to fight several Hill Giants, Ogre Berserkers, a few Ettins and a couple of Dire Bears.


2 – HILL GIANTS & ETTINS

Once in the Hill Giants Lair you will fight several battles but the one is this room will most probably be the toughest since here you will be put up against Hill Giants and Ettins at the same time so proceed with caution.


3 – TREASURE

After dispatching the Hill Giant in this room search the containers nearby for some random treasure and magic items.


4 – MORE TREASURE

Inside this room you will find a chest scripted to provide high rated loot so you might also find a powerful magic item along with some other treasures.


5 – DEEPER INTO CAVE

Before you will be able to get down to level 2 of the Hill Giants Lair you will first have to defeat the Hill Giant Champion that guards the exit. The Hill Giant Champion is a tough opponent but you will not have much trouble defeating him since he is alone. When you do defeat him proceed to the exit and you will be brought down to Level 2 of the Hill Giants Lair.

6 – EXIT TO HILL GIANTS UPPER LAIR

Use the cave exit to return back to the Upper Level of the Hill Giants Lair.


7 – HILL GIANTS AND TREASURE

Fight a few more Hill Giants in this room and search the area for some treasure afterwards.


8 – FIRE GIANT

Inside this room you will meet up with no one else than a Fire Giant. Apparently the Fire Giant was some sort of a messenger as you would find out after picking the note from his body. The note is some kind of an order to the Hill Giants to get and bring undamaged Dragon Eggs to Klauth at his terrible lair. And it is also a reason why the Giants started attacking the Dragon Lairs because they did not wanted to feel the wraith of the Red Dragon Klauth.


9 – TREASURE

The room is guarded by some dire animals, a tiger, a bear and a grizzly bear. After defeating them you can help yourself with the loot from the containers nearby.


10 – HILL GIANT COOK

A Hill Giant here serves as a cook for his kin. Near the Giant you will find a soon-to-be-food for the Giants prisoner. The prisoner is an Uthgardt of the Golden Eagle tribe and you can try and free her, which means you have to defeat the Hill Giant Cook. However before you free her you should ask her a few things and she will let you know that the Hill Giants are raiding the Dragon Lair in search for Dragon Eggs to bring back to Klauth the Red Dragon and it seems that the evil king of the Fire Giants is also in league with Klauth.
Talking with the prisoners rewards you with 50 experiences points and freeing her rewards you with another 100 experience points.

11 – UTHGARDT PRISONER

Another Uthgardt prisoner is located in this small area. Talking with him and freeing him will give you another 150 experience points. The prisoner has the same things to say as the one at area #10.


12 – MORE GIANTS AND TREASURE

Once again you will have to lessen the numbers of the Hill Giants in this room. A few containers offer some minor treasures as well.


13 – HILL GIANT CHIEFTAIN

In this room you will have to face the Hill Giant Chieftain so be careful. When you defeat him he will drop his head and a note. If you chose to work for Akulatraxas the Green Dragon then you will need to bring the chieftain's head back to him. Also the note was apparently going to be sent to Klauth as a confirmation that the Hill Giants accept to follow the Dragon and do his biddings. Furthermore the room contains a couple of chests full of treasures and possibly one or two random magic items.
