Background

You'll receive this mission at some point after completing the mission on Horizon.

Walkthrough

When you talk to Jack (in the engineering sub-deck), you'll learn that while she was exploring the Ceberus databases on board the Normandy, she found the coordinates for the facility where she was "raised." After then detailing some of the hardships she faced at the facility, Jack will tell you that she'd like to travel to it and blow it up. Fortunately, the facility is now closed, so Cerberus shouldn't mind.

You'll find the facility on the planet Pragia (Dakka / Nubian Expanse). However, when you get there, you'll discover that it's not quite as abandoned as it's supposed to be, and you'll be attacked by groups of varren and Blood Pack mercenaries, including a tough krogan named Kureck. Stranger still, the facility's security logs won't jive with what Jack remembers from her escape, and so you won't know what really happened.

Eventually you'll come to Jack's Cell, where you'll meet Aresh, another of the facility's former test subjects. Aresh will explain that he's trying to put the facility back together, which obviously won't sit very well with Jack. You'll then receive dialogue options to prevent Jack from killing Aresh (for +15 paragon points) or encourage her to finish the job (for +15 renegade points). Either way, Jack will become loyal and gain the Warp Ammo power, and then you'll blow up the facility and return to the Normandy.

Note: After completing Miranda's and Jack's loyalty missions, the two will square off on board the Normandy. If you have enough renegade or paragon points (something over 80% should be enough), then you'll be able to diffuse the situation, and keep both characters loyal. If you have to choose between them, then you'll lose the loyalty of the woman you don't pick, plus lose any chance of a romance with her (if you're male). However, the character you don't pick will keep her extra power and outfit, and you'll later be able to talk to her and regain her loyalty if you can get your renegade / paragon points high enough.
