Planet: Zanethu (Ploitari / Hourglass Nebula)
Did we miss anything in this section? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

Walkthrough

When you scan Zanethu (Ploitari / Hourglass Nebula), you'll detect a distress beacon coming from the wreckage of the MSV Estevanico, a freighter that was lost over a year ago. You'll also receive the assignment "MSV Estevanico," which will task you with investigating why the freighter went down.

When you land on the planet, you'll be dropped onto the hull of the Estevanico. You'll be there all by yourself, but you'll just need to navigate what remains of the hull so you can reach the mainframe computer at the end. You won't have to worry about any enemies; this is simply an exploration assignment.

For the most part, your trek along the hull should not be too difficult since you'll only have one way that you can go. But there are a couple of tricks:
  • Early on, you'll need to shoot some loose tiles, which will then fall down to a lower level and create a bridge for you to cross. Some other tiles will fall down on their own.

  • In several places, you'll need to cross girders to reach new sections of the ship.

  • In two places, you'll need to enter combat mode so you can jump up onto things.

  • Near the end, you'll need to walk down onto a hanging "staircase," which will then crash down to the next level, creating a bridge for you to cross.
Eventually you'll come to a mainframe, which will be glowing red, making it easy to spot. When you activate the mainframe, you'll upload information about the Estevanico to EDI (which will eventually reveal that the ship was attacked by Blood Pack mercenaries), and then you'll jump onto your shuttle and return to the Normandy.

Note: You won't be able to save during the assignment, so if you get stuck "in the air" then you'll have to start over.
