Walkthrough

After Darus' death in the previous quest, when you loot his corpse (#1), you'll find a Strange Viewing Glass and a Soulpiercer arrow. Picking up the viewing glass will trigger this quest, and picking up the arrow will trigger the side quest To Hunt an Assassin.

Your goal for this quest is figure out what the viewing glass is. To that end, you should ask around Eastwillow. Most people will find the viewing glass interesting, but they won't be able to help you -- until you get to Eleanise in Eastwillow Magicks (#2). She'll recommend that you show the viewing glass to her uncle Minus, who used to run the shop, and who knows a lot about "curious artifacts." Your conversation with Eleanise will complete the quest and earn you 100 xp.
