3 - East Pump Station

Inside the East Pump Station you'll find a terminal. It's involved in the quest Hard Luck Blues. Inside the East Cistern (located next door to the station), you'll find a copy of Fixin' Things (on a counter next to a broken terminal).

4 - Durable Dunn's Wrecked Caravan

At this location you'll find some ash piles, some corpses, and a pack brahmin, which you'll be able to loot for two sets of Combat Armor, two Plasma Rifles, a Lever-Action Shotgun, and more. You'll need to visit this location for the quest Heartache by the Number.

5 - Cannibal Johnson's Cave

6 - Vault 34

Please refer to our Vault 23 section for more information.

7 - Gun Runners

At this location you'll meet a vendortron, which will have a healthy collection of weapons for sale. This collection will improve as you gain levels, culminating with the Anti-Materiel Rifle somewhere around level 18.

Also at this location you'll find a guarded headquarters building. This building is involved in the quest You Can Depend on Me. Inside of it, you'll find a Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Cap (in a crate in the lobby); some weapons, including possibly an Assault Carbine (on the workbenches in the workshop); copies of Future Weapons Today, Patriot's Cookbook, and Today's Physician, plus a duffle bag (in the bathroom); and another duffle bag (in the barracks).

8 - Freeside's East Gate

Please refer to our Freeside section for more information.

9 - North Vegas Square

10 - Freeside's North Gate

11 - Crimson Caravan Company

Please refer to our Crimson Caravan Company section for more information.

12 - New Vegas Medical Clinic

When you enter the clinic, you'll meet Doctor Usanagi, a "fully qualified physician." She'll do all of the things that a regular doctor would do, plus offer you implants. You'll be able to add as many implants as you have Endurance points (including points from the Intense Training perk, but not including points from implants). The implants you can add are listed below:
  • +1 Strength (Hypertrophy Accelerator), 4000 caps
  • +1 Perception (Optics Enhancer), 4000 caps
  • +1 Endurance (Nociception Regulator), 4000 caps
  • +1 Charisma (Empathy Synthesizer), 4000 caps
  • +1 Intelligence (Logic Co-Processor), 4000 caps or only 3000 caps if your Intelligence is less than 4
  • +1 Agility (Reflex Booster), 4000 caps
  • +1 Luck (Probability Calculator), 4000 caps
  • +4 DT (Sub-Dermal Armor), 8000 caps
  • +1/10s Hit Point Regeneration (Monocyte Breeder), 12,000 caps
Also in the clinic, you'll find copies of Fixin' Things, Meeting People, and Today's Physician (on the end tables in the waiting room). You'll probably have trouble stealing them without a Stealth Boy, but you can also buy them from Doctor Usanagi.

13 - Mole Rat Ranch

You won't find anything to loot here, but sometimes you'll witness a brahmin killing the ranch's mole rats, and sometimes you'll just find the mole rats already dead. To the north of the ranch you'll find the farm where the brahmin are coming from.

Nearby to the east, you'll find a ruined building with some useful things inside: a copy of Locksmith's Reader (in a shelf by the front door), a grenade bouquet (connected to a tripwire by the back door), plus a first aid box, a Doctor's Bag, a copy of True Police Stories, a Patriot's Cookbook, a Sniper Rifle, some .308 Rounds, and more (in the "hard" locked storage room in the back).

14 - Fields' Shack / Jimmy's Well

If you don't have the Wild Wasteland trait, then you'll only discover Fields' Shack here. Inside, you'll find three ammunition boxes, a Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Cap (in the broken refrigerator), an Abilene Kid LE BB Gun (in the shelf), and some regular BB Guns and BBs (in the toy box).

If you have the Wild Wasteland trait, then at some point while Rex is your companion, he'll bark and indicate that there is a boy stuck in a well (a reference to the 1950's television show "Lassie"). This conversation will cause Jimmy's Well to appear just to the south of the shack. For this case, the contents of the shack will remain the same, except for the Abilene Kid LE BB Gun, which will appear in the well instead. You'll also find a Super Stimpak and the skeleton of a child inside the well.

15 - Nellis Air Force Base

Please refer to our Nellis Air Force Base section for more information.

16 - Nellis Hangars

Please refer to our Nellis Air Force Base section for more information.

17 - Nellis Array

Please refer to our Nellis Air Force Base section for more information.

18 - Raul's Shack

This shack belongs to Raul, who you can recruit as a companion at Black Mountain. This is one of the places where Raul can go when you dismiss him from your party. If Raul is in his shack, and if he isn't in your party, then he'll be able to repair your equipment up to 100%, but he'll still charge you caps just like a regular repairer.

Outside the shack you'll discover some plants, which you can pick for Banana Yucca Fruit, Coyote Tobacco Chew, and Honey Mesquite Pods. Inside the shack, you'll find a bed, a workbench, two ammunition boxes (next to the bed), three Frag Grenades (also next to the bed), a copy of Guns and Bullets (in a crate next to the door), and a Doctor's Bag (on the floor).

19 - Gypsum Train Yard

At this location you'll encounter several blind deathclaws, so be ready for a major fight if you can't snipe them from a distance. You'll also discover a quarry office in the area. Inside the quarry office, you'll encounter a few giant ants, but you'll find a first aid box and a Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Cap (on the desk in the back room). The star cap will sometimes disappear while you're fighting the ants, so if you really want it, then you should rush in and grab it before engaging the ants.

20 - Brotherhood of Steel Safehouse

21 - Bloodborne Cave

22 - Cap Counterfeiting Shack

Inside this shack, you'll find three ammunition boxes and a Varmint Rifle (in the shelf). Inside the cellar attached to the shack, you'll find lots of Nuka-Cola and Sunset Sarsaparilla, three Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Caps (on the tables), 18 Counterfeit Bottle Caps (also on the tables), a copy of Tales of a Junktown Jerky Vendor (on a suitcase by the bed), a gun cabinet, a first aid box, and two ammunition boxes. The counterfeit caps can't be used for anything.

23 - Coyote Trail Ridge

24 - Bitter Springs Recreation Area

25 - Bitter Springs

26 - Ranger Station Bravo

27 - The Devil's Throat

28 - Train Tunnel

The train tunnel gives you an alternate route to approach the Nellis Air Force Base (#15). You won't have to dodge Boomer artillery fire if you go this way, but you will have to pick "very hard" locks to enter and exit the tunnel, and you'll have to deal with feral ghouls and traps while you're inside. You won't discover much in the way of loot in the tunnel, but on one wastelander corpse (located in the middle of the tunnel) you'll find a Fire Helmet, two Patriot's Cookbooks, a Doctor's Bag, a Stimpak, and more.

Note: This location won't show up on your world map.
