In this part of the city you'll get the chance to rescue Duke Eltan from his "healer". You'll also find yourself in the Flaming Fist Castle if you ever get arrested while exploring the city and you'll have a meeting with Angelo.


1- KAELLA:

A noblewoman who is angry at Sarevok because she has lost a lot of money since he took over the Iron Throne. She was doing business with them before that and even though she did not approve their side activities, she though that they were honorable business partners. Since Sarevok took over the command, however, he declared all the deals null and void and she lost all the invested money!


2- TAMOKO:

If you met Tamoko in the Eastern part of Baldur's Gate and that the conversation went well, she asked you at the end to meet her in front of the Flaming Fist Castle. Well, here she is. She wants you to defeat Sarevok and to destroy his plans, but she also wants you to let him leave so that she can teach him how to live as a man, not as a God child. She then tells you that Duke Eltan can still be saved and urges you to do so. He can be found on the 2nd floor of the Flaming Fist Castle(at location (3)). Finally, she asks you to find Slythe and Krystin in the Undercellar and to stop them. They are 2 assassins hired by Sarevok to kill Grand Duke "Belt" and Grand Duke Liia Jannath. She also asks you to deal with Cythandria at the top of the Iron Throne tower (Southern part of BG). It appears that she has a bad influence on Sarevok.


3- FLAMING FIST CASTLE:

1st Floor:

You can either enter the castle by your free will or do so because you got arrested. In the first case you'll meet Benjy and Dilos, 2 of Sarevok's henchmen who try to stop you. They summon 5 Mercenaries who also cast spells, but who are easy to dispatch. Once it's done, you can proceed with the saving of Duke Eltan on the second floor of the building. If you got arrested, you'll have a chat with Angelo, the new Flaming Fist leader, who is also secretly working for Sarevok. Do not anger him or he'll kill one of your party members. Once the dialog is over he puts you in prison. Talk with Neb there a few times and he'll offer you a way out if you answer his riddle. The answer is 33. You'll then be free and you'll be able to continue your quest to stop Sarevok.

Note: If you get arrested and that Shar-Teel is in your party Angelo lets you go because she is his daughter!

2nd Floor:

Kent: A Flaming Fist Mercenary who doubts the qualities of Duke Eltan's healer, Rashad. He also thinks about deserting the Fists before things get worst than they are.

Rashad: If you tell him that you know who he is(choice: 1) he will reveal his true nature and attack you. He is a Greater Doppleganger but he should be easy to dispatch. Watch out as he can cast spells.

Duke Eltan: He is really sick and asks you to take him to the Harbormaster(Southern part of BG) where he'll be able to heal. He also gives you a letter which he could steal from Rashad and which reveals Sarevok's plan to assassinate "Belt" and Liia Jannath, the remaining 2 Grand Dukes (Entar is already dead and Eltan is in pretty bad shape…).


F- FLAMING FISTS PATROL AREA:

You should avoid this area as much as possible, else you'll get arrested and you'll be brought to Angelo at the Flaming Fist Castle where you'll be put in prison. Not a very nice scenario, is it? Also don't fight any soldiers or you'll lose a lot of reputation.
