AR0900 (Wyrm's Crossing)

Did we miss anything in this location? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

This is the only entrance to Baldur's Gate by the South. The bridge is really wide and well guarded by the Flaming Fist Mercenaries. The way won't be opened before you finish Chapter 4, however, because of the numerous bandit raids in the region.

1- FLAMING FIST MERCENARY:

Before you finish Chapter 4 (cleaning the Cloakwood Mines), this soldier tells you that the gate to Baldur's Gate is closed by order of the Grand Dukes because of the banditry in the region.

2- SCAR:

When you finally get to cross the bridge, Scar, the commander of the Flaming Fists in Baldur's Gate, first asks you if you are the group responsible for cleaning the Nashkel Mines. If you say so, he asks for your help to investigate strange occurrences in the city. You see, he needs an outsider to look into the matters. Your first job is to investigate the Seven Suns Coaster. It appears that the leaders of the organization had been acting strangely lately. The Seven Suns can be found in the Flaming Fists Quarter of the city(see separate location). You then have to report to Scar your discoveries. He can be found at the Flaming Fists Castle.

3- QUAYLE:

An annoying gnome, Quayle (CN, Gnome Male, Cleric/Illusionist) will accept to join you whether you say that you are heading North, South, West or East. He complains all the time but if you need a Cleric/Illusionist, he's your man.

4- TENYA:

The priestess of the Bitch Queen Umberlee. See the fishermen in the section North of the Friendly Arm for more details about this quest.

5- ANKHEG:

This Ankheg has Nester's dagger. You'll need it for a future quest at the Gate, so pick it up and keep it.

6- SIMMEON:

Assuming you've been following Dorn's quest, you will find Simmeon here after dealing with Kryll earlier in the game. Inevitably a fight will start, and Simmeon will use his demonic powers to summon two Thralls of Azothet! Despite their fearsome appearance and high number of hit points, they only attack in melee, so use ranged weapons and you shouldn't find them too difficult. When the fight is over, loot Simmeon's body for some Plate Mail +1, Albruin +1, a Golden Girdle of Urnst, and a Flail +1, and his cohorts for some mid-level spell scrolls such as Vampiric Touch and Domination. This brings Dorn's quest to an end, though he will stay in your party and he will have more to say to talk to you about during your adventures.
