Notable Loot

Annotations

1 - Dragonel Nest

You'll need to destroy this nest for the quest A Den of Dragonels. You'll find a Dragonel Nest Piece inside.

2 - Corpse

You'll find some random (and probably not very good) loot on this corpse.

3 - Bandit Camp

You'll encounter several Outlanders here, and you'll also find a random treasure chest.

4 - Ruel's House

Inside this house, you'll find Ruel's body. He'll have A Letter from Wendy in his possession, which you'll need for the quest A Favor for Wendy.

Also in the house you'll find a teleporter with a plaque above it. This is a puzzle, and reading the plaque will give you the clue: "Harder than copper / and redder in hue / the wonders of bronze / are known but to few." That is, in order for the teleporter to work, you'll need to be wearing a full set of bronze armor: head, chest, hands, legs and feet. Any sort of bronze item will work. The teleporter will take you to the central room in the house, where you'll find two treasure chests. One of the chests is random, but in the other you'll find the book Orakur - Of Fact and Fiction plus 200 gp.

There are two things you can do with the book. You can show it to Wendy in Eastwillow (Yoma River Valley), but instead of being thrilled at your ingenuity, she'll claim that "He does not want that book to exist," and she'll attack you. You can also give the book to Saint Gilhelm at Lockston Hall in Port Kuudad. This will earn you 1000 xp, and Gilhelm will ask you to take the book into the archives beneath the hall and place it on the desk of the mythology scholar. Doing this will earn you an additional 250 xp. (But more importantly, with the archives open, you'll be able to complete the Bells bonus. See the Bells section for more information.)
