CHAPTER TWO
What is that sound high in the air
Murmur of maternal lamentation
Who are those hooded hordes swarming
Over endless plains, stumbling in cracked earth
Ringed by the flat horizon only
What is the city over the mountains
Cracks and reforms and bursts in the violet air
QUESTS AVAILABLE
Find Mutants (Quest Automatically Given): Supposedly there are mutants somewhere in this city - it's your job to find out what they're up to. Ask the friendly ghouls for information.
Find Missing Pieces (Quest Given by Harold): There's an old ghoul on the bridge who's missing some body parts. If you find any stray body parts, bring them back to him for a reward.
Gladiator Pit (Quest Given by Hieronymous): Talk to a ghoul merchant if you want to enter the gladiator games - defeat challengers in the pit to win cold, hard cash.
Find Old Junk (Quest Given by Giese): If you find any relatively undamaged junk, bring it to the crazy ghoul engineer on the bridge and see what he can make out of it... for a price.
CUTSCENE
As soon as you enter Los, you'll get a cut scene of a large Ghoul executing a regular human for trespassing. Apparently, the prevailing power in Los is the Church of the Lost. Your immediate goals are to find out what happened to the Brotherhood members and what the Mutants in the area are up to.
HAROLD
A friendly Ghoul named Harold (yes, the same one from Fallout 2) stands near your entry point. He doesn't have a whole lot of information, but he will give you a quest to find his missing body parts (an eye, an arm, and a toe). You'll earn 200 caps for the first two pieces you return and 600 caps for the final piece. You can also get 300 experience points for reminding him of the time he spent with Ruby.
HEIRONYMOUS
A bit east from Harold is a Ghoul who will trade things with you. He will also enter you in a gladiatorial contest after you've been around a while.
GIESE
Giese is an engineer who will make things for you out of junk (if you pay for the labor). Find all the junk pieces strewn about Los and you can even have Giese build you a Super Sledge. He also tells you that the Mutants have been hanging out at the dock. When you've found the Brotherhood Paladin, he'll tell you how a bit about the secret vault and tell you how to enter it.
BRIDGE EAST
You can't go straight to the docks, so head east to enter the east side of the bridge.
