Daemon Camp

Did we miss anything in this section? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

1 - Keuthonymos

Keuthonymos (#1) is involved in the side quest “An Inside Source.” If you have not yet triggered that side quest (see Callicrates’ entry in the City of Lost Souls section for more information about it), then Keuthonymos won’t have anything to say to you. If you have triggered the side quest, then Keuthonymos will ask you to intercept an envoy that is carrying an important message for the daemon captain Proseia, and to bring that message back to him (apparently, nobody in the Underworld has heard that you killed Proseia in Paseron).

You’ll find the envoy to the east (#1a). He’ll have several daemons around him, but he should be easy enough to kill. When the envoy dies, he’ll drop a Daemon Scroll. When you deliver the scroll to Keuthonymos, he’ll reward you with a random relic shard and 34,000 experience points.

2 - Pools of Mnemosyne

This cave system is optional.

3 - Thyia of the Stygian Frosts

Thyia is one of four empusa bosses that you’ll face while in the Underworld. She’ll drop a frost stone, which is required for unlocking Hades’ Treasury.

4 - Admetus

You might remember Admetus from Paseron, where he died while trying to deliver some medicinal supplies to Epirus. Now you’ll meet him again here, locked in a soul cage. Admetus’ cage will start out locked, and you won’t be able to open it until you’ve defeated the troglodyte jailer Kondor the Mighty, who should be patrolling nearby.

When you talk to Admetus, he’ll tell you that he was trying to help the other shades here when he was captured himself. Then he’ll vow to help you in any way he can. This will trigger the side quest “Admetus Among the Dead.” You’ll meet Admetus again in the Tower of Judgment.

5 - Cave of Whispers

In the back of this cave you’ll encounter an albino spider named the Bloated One. She can stun you, drain your health, and summon spider minions to attack you, and so she can be difficult to kill. When the Bloated One dies, she won’t drop anything, but behind her you’ll find a demonic chest containing the Mirror of Psyche. Eurydice in the City of Lost Souls will reward you if you bring her the mirror.
