Quest: A Day in Court
Did we miss anything in this section? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

Background

You'll receive this quest from the private standing next to the entrance to the throne room at Vigil's Keep, but only after you've completed one of the main sections of the campaign. If you bypass the private, then you can also trigger the quest by talking to Seneschal Varel in the throne room.

Walkthrough

For this quest, you'll have to make a ruling on three cases:
  • Alec and the stolen grain. You can have Alec executed or flogged, or you can force him to join the army.

  • Lady Liza Packton and the disputed bridge. You can give the bridge to Lady Liza, you can give it to Ser Derren, or you can keep it for yourself (and gain 100 sovereigns). If you give the land to Liza, then you might be able to persuade Ser Derren that you'll make it up to him.

Note: Lady Liza will appear here even if you killed her during the quest A Brewing Consipracy.

  • Danella and her dereliction of duty. You can have Danella executed or imprisoned, or you can offer to let her family stay at the keep.

Note: You'll only hear this case if you've already completed the quest A Brewing Conspiracy.

  • Ser Temmerly the Ox and the murder of Ser Tamra. You can have Ser Temmerly executed or imprisoned, or you can let him go free.

Note: You'll only hear this case if you haven't yet completed the quest A Brewing Conspiracy.
As far as we can tell, the decisions you make here won't have any meaningful impact on the campaign. If you want to complete the quest quickly, then you can simply let Seneschal Varel make the rulings for you. At the end of the quest, you'll receive 1000 xp.
