Fort Ilkard: Elk Tribe Keep
Did we miss anything in this location? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

Elk Tribe Keep
1 - EXIT TO HOMESTEADS

The exit from here will take you back to the Homesteads area.

2 - ISLEGOOD'S COMPLETE HISTORY OF SEAFARING

You will find this book inside the Armoire here. You will need the book later at area #3 in order to unlock a few treasure rooms there.

3 - LIBRARY

The library contains several bookshelves. Every bookshelf however is missing a volume. Finding and placing the missing volume back to the appropriate bookshelf, will result in opening the portcullis to a small room near each bookshelf. The volumes you need to unlock the rooms are:
  • Islegood's Complete History of Seafaring : Located at area #2
  • Islegood's Complete History of Flight : Located at area #5
  • Islegood's Complete History of Horses : Located at area #8
You can then loot the rooms for some treasures and/or one or two random magic items.

4 - ASHES OF THE RUNNING WOLF

Search the Urn in this small room and you will find the Ashes of the Running Wolf. The ashes belong to a great warrior of the Uthgardt people and are the quest item for Tomi in Chapter 3 (see also our Henchmen Section for more details).

5 - ISLEGOOD'S COMPLETE HISTORY OF FLIGHT

Grab this book from the armoire in this room and use it at area #3.

6 - PRISONERS

Two prisoners of the Elk Tribe can be found in these cells. The Elk tribe Warriors captured them but did not hurt them. You can however free them and you will be rewarded with 100 experiences points for freeing each prisoner.

7 - ZOKAN THUNDERER

Zokan the leader of the Elk Tribe is located here. Speak with him and you will find out that Damas was the one that caused the plague by giving to the tribe warriors some infested blankets. This action led the Elk tribe people to attack the fort in hope of finding a cure for the plague due to the fact the Damas could probably have a cure for it. They even allied with the Luskan Forces for that. Zokan will then ask you to help them find a cure and will promise that if you do his tribe will end the alliance with the Luskan Forces. If you accept to help Zokan he will give you some Plague-Ridden Blankets as proof so that you can convince Damas to give you the cure.

When you acquire the cure from Commander Damas return back to the keep and present it to Zokan. For helping his tribe Zokan will reward you with the Uthgardt Ceremonial Spear, a token called Dreamcaster and 625 experience points. The Uthgardt Ceremonial Spear is the quest item for Daelan in Chapter 3 (See also our Henchmen Section for more details). The Dreamcaster is to be brought back to Yusan over at the Druid Grove of Beorunna's Well as proof that the tribe is no longer in league with the Luskan Forces.
