Background

Upon leaving the Lucky 38 Casino for the first time, an NCR trooper will come running up to you, and he'll tell you that Ambassador Crocker would like to speak with you. When you talk to Crocker (in the NCR Embassy in the New Vegas Strip), he'll give you this quest.


Walkthrough

Crocker will tell you that there's a group called the Boomers living at Nellis Air Force Base, and that they're "sitting on a munitions stockpile that would be invaluable to us." Crocker will then ask you to make contact with the Boomers and see if you can persuade them to take the NCR's side for the upcoming battle at Hoover Dam.

To complete this quest, you'll basically just need to complete the quest Volare for the Boomers (which will make you "idolized" by them), and then return to Crocker. When you do, you'll receive 200 xp and some NCR fame, and Crocker will give you the quest Kings' Gambit.
