Detention Camp
Detention Camp

Did we miss anything? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

The Detention Camp is a rather miserable place, with scores of innocent civilians that Belltower have captured for their black ops - fortunately, for those of weak constitution, you won't spend too much time here. Your goal upon arriving is to reach the top of the tower in the middle of the room and upload the new biometrics to the mainframe, in order to give Jensen access to the Interrogation Wing. This is easier than you might think, though you'll encounter a handful of special-ops soldiers around the facility to deal with. There's also a handful of vents, weak walls and other ways to get around the area, though they won't be as relevant until a bit later on.

1 - Main Floor

You'll first notice a guard talking to a prisoner on the west side of the area. Sneak up and take him out while he's distracted to avoid any trouble (grab the 10mm Pistol Ammo from the generator if you need it). There's another two guards on the east side as well, also engaged in conversation - use your Reflex Booster to take down both if you've got it, or a well-placed grenade. One of them holds a Pocket Secretary with the code to the security computer at (6), "8efehlist". Otherwise, making your way to the objective should be a simple matter of climbing the stairs of the central tower, though you'll probably want to do more exploring in the meantime.

2 - Vent

This vent system will take you into the bottom of the central tower.

3 - Tower Lower Level & Ladder

The lower level of the panopticon has a computer console that you can ignore for now. You'll spot a Credit Chip on the floor to nab in the meantime, worth 1250 Credits. The ladder in this room goes right to the top of the tower, giving you quick and easy access to your objective.

4 - Open Cell & Weak Wall

Break through the weak wall in this cell to access a maintenance shaft. There's a bottle of Whiskey sitting on a pipe on the first level, though more importantly, if you have the Jump Enhancement, you can leap up to bypass the stairs. Of course, you can also use it as a quick way to get down from the second level.

5 - Vent & Hidden Area

Move the heavy crate blocking this vent to find a maintenance shaft with an Ammo Capacity Upgrade inside, and +200 XP.

Provided you have the Jump Enhancement, you can hop up to a secret maintenance area for a +400 XP bonus, a Target-Leading System, and a Credit Chip worth 1000 Credits on the floor nearby. Make a mental note of this hidden area, as it will come into play during your return later on.

6 - Tower Upper Level & Database Access

Take out the lone guard in here and loot his body to find a Pocket Secretary containing the password for the computer nearby, "blindeye". Either use the password or hack its level 3 security to read some disturbing news about how the prisoners are being treated, as well as a hint about the weak walls in the various cells throughout. The security computer, meanwhile, can be hacked (level 4), or you can opt to use the password "8efehlist" - you'll be able to shut down the Sentry Bots on the second level if you have a high enough Hacking: Capture skill.

Next, turn your attention to the Security Mainframe Port and insert the Biometric Data Disc that Keitner provided. You'll gain +2500 XP, and after a brief conversation, an objective to investigate the Interrogation Wing (B). You'll find it beyond the third level, so make your way up via the stairs or the maintenance shafts in the accessible cells.

7 - Second Level

The second level of the Detention Camp is guarded by two Sentry Bots on patrol, as well as a laser grid (8). The Sentry Bots can be destroyed with explosives or disabled with EMP Grendes or the Stun Gun (temporarily), but if you're able it's probably better to turn them against your enemies using the security hub at (6). Otherwise you won't find much of interest save for some more open cells to explore.

8 - Laser Grid

Either disable the laser grid by hacking the level 3 panels nearby, or follow the Sentry Bots (while sneaking) to slip through while the grid is down.

9 - Open Cell & Weak Wall

Another wall to break down here, and another maintenance shaft to climb or descend. There's +200 XP in it for you, as well as some Painkillers.

10 - Open Cell & Weak Wall

Same deal as the others - smash the weak wall to reveal a maintenance shaft taking you up or down. The second-level cell here has a CyberBoost ProEnergy Bar inside, and exploring the shaft will provide +200 XP and a Hypostim.

11 - Top Level

The top level of the Detention Camp is pretty much the same as the second, save for the fact that there's no laser grid to bother you, and the Sentry Bots are gone. However, they've been replaced with those Typhoon Turrets you might have seen earlier - if you haven't, then all you need to know is that you should avoid tripping its laser, or else you'll take a Typhoon attack to the face. They can be disabled with EMP Grenades, but it's probably just best to avoid or jump over them. Note that, before moving on, you'll want to leap to the top of the central tower at (12) to find some useful items. When you're through, head through the door at (B) to enter the Interrogation Wing.

12 - Tower Roof

There's a stash of items on the roof of the tower, most easily accessed with the Jump Augmentation and a sprint from the north side of the third level balcony. You can also try stacking crates up to reach it, though that will take much longer. The stash contains a Praxis Kit and some Shotgun Cartridges, and you'll get +100 XP for your exploration efforts.
