Corpse Feast

Did we miss anything in this section? Is there something we didn't discover? Let us know!

Background

After you have completed Healing For Ardo, you can find the Boron Deont in Boron's Field (to the north of Nadoret). He is concerned about corpses being mauled and does not think animals are responsible. He gives you a key for the crypt of an old family (which you'll find right next to him) and wants you to investigate.

1 - Entrance

As the inscription hints, the key is not enough. Trying to open the door with just the key sees the character hit with an Ignafixus spell. To pass on, douse all lights, which means the four lightstands near the door and any torches or light-sources you have on you.

The crypt itself is laden with firetraps. Most entrances have a firetrap in them so proceed with care.

2 - Ghouls

Three ghouls attack you. This should be the first time you find ghouls, who are the source of the bitemarks on the corpses, which nets you 5AP. Clear the crypt of ghouls (21 of them) to get 20AP and be able to report the quest as finished to the Boron Deont. Closing the quest nets you a final 40AP.

3 - Ghouls

Five ghouls attack you. When you defeat them you get one of the Emblem quest items.

4 - Ghouls

Two ghouls are in this hall, and four more rush out of the collapsed tunnel.

5 - Ghouls

Two ghouls wait in the hall at these spots.

6 - Ghouls and Elaborate Sacrophagus

Two ghouls are in this room. Furthermore, inside the elaborate sacrophagus you can find the Emblem quest items.

7 - Ghouls and Sacrophagus

There are three ghouls in this chamber.

Furthermore, to the south you'll find the shield where you can attach the three emblems that you'll find throughout this crypt. One piece of it is in the sacrophagus to the norther end of the room. Picking up the emblems and using them to open the way to the burial chamber is fully optional

8 - Burial Chamber of Joachim of the Golden Grove

Ardo warns not to touch anything, and the warning book to the south says the same. Open the sacrophagus to uncover Joachim, on who you will find 5D 1T 7F, a Ravensbeak, Bronze Arm Greaves, Bronze Shoulder Plates, Bronze Greaves, 4x Bleached Bones.

If you take anything from Joachim, the skeletons in the crypt rise up to fight you. One skeleton mage and two skeletons rise up on this specific spot, and dotted through the crypt are a further two skeleton mages and thirteen skeletons. The fights should provide no particular challenge and this subquest provides no additional AP, so consider for yourself if it is worth it.
