Journey to the Tollgate

Background

Following the completion of Night Mission, Ardo finds a ship to take you to the Tollgate, where both the letter you picked up after fighting the Blood Wolf and Gerlin's information lead to. However, before you get to the Tollgate, a few small quests have to be resolved, first off which is getting the crew back on board the Thalaria in the quest The Ship's Crew.


1 - Dumb Dan

Dan is drunk in the tavern. Human Nature, Fast Talk, Haggle or Intimidate will lower the price for his return to 1D, otherwise pay him 4D to have him return and net you 15AP.


2 - Silvertooth Yallik

Yallik can be found watching the arena fights. You can give him a tip on the fight (Stonenoggin Barakor wins) or Fast Talk him into giving up his gambling ways. Then either pay him 4D or 2D with a Haggle check to get him to go back to the ship for 15AP.


3 - Four-Finger Salm

Salm is bothering the blacksmith. Fast Talk, Indimidate or Seduce (for female characters) him, the a Haggle check can get you down to 1D. Pay him 4D if none of the tests are passed. Getting him back to the ship nets you 15AP.

Beggar Greyhair will approach you as you send back the last of the shipmates. He gives you a dispatch from Gerlin.



4 - Captain Delbrack

Talk to Captain Delbrack to close The Ship's Crew.


5 - Isle of Forgetting

Before going on to the Tollgate the Thalaria will make a stop at the Isle of Forgetting, where you will meet Brother Emmeran. See The Temple of Efferd for details on this NPC. In the course of this quest, Emmeran will guide you and Ardo and tell you a bit about the temple (which provides hints to what you will meet in the Temple of Efferd quest). When the tour is done, talk to Emmeran and ask him about your destiny for 20AP. You can then travel on to the Thurstone Tollgate, which unlocks the location and begins the quest The Toll is Not Enough.
