Introduction & Advice
Since I'm still making my way through the game for the first time, I don't have a whole lot of advice to offer just yet. I'll be updating this section as I try different things and generally get a better feel for the game.

Here are some quick tips for the time being, though:
  • Though it seems obvious, I'd recommend saving before, during, and after every adventure. There may be times that you miss a chest and want to go back or a character's level increase doesn't go as planned (a low amount of hit points gained, for example).

  • Copy your SAVEDATA folder from your memory stick to a safe spot on your PC's hard drive periodically. If you wind up formatting your memory stick or otherwise lose your savegames, you'll lose all the progress you've made and any characters you generated at the beginning of the game.

  • Switch weapons when necessary. Blunt weapons are far more effective on Skeletons, silver weapons are far more effective on Werewolves, and any "Bane" weapon will make short work of any creature it's designed to work against.

  • Sell any equipment you don't plan on using after each adventure. There is a lot of nice equipment to buy in the game, but it's all very expensive. If you want to purchase that Vorpal Longsword, you're going to have to part with anything that isn't absolutely necessary to your cause.

  • Be careful with spells! If you have a party member in the way of a Fireball, it will detonate into their back. Position your caster in the proper position before filling a nearby area with fire and brimstone.
