According to this thread on the official Dragon Age: Origins forum, BioWare has automatically added The Edge (previously exclusive to Best Buy pre-orders) to the accounts of all registered owners. If the item doesn't appear in your inventory right away, then you may have to go to the "Download Progress" tab under "Downloadable Content" and manually download the DLC. Not a bad little surprise gift, anyway.
