Dark Age of Camelot: Catacombs Interview

FileFront has conducted an interview with Mythic Entertaiment's Lance Robertson, in which the producer answers two pages of questions about the recently released Dark Age of Camelot: Catacombs expansion. Here's a taste:
Q: This is the fifth expansion in the series. What was the motivation to put out another expansion for DAoC?

A: We wanted to provide another exciting, story-based expansion to the world of Camelot. It was important to us to tie the new story very closely with the existing world. We succeeded in this by elaborating on the histories of the Kobolds, Inconnu and Shar and incorporating past enemies of the realms and others based on their mythologies. Other goals of the expansion were to update the player models, introduce our private adventuring instanced technology and add new classes. The player models had not been substantially changed since we originally launched, so we felt that it was time to bring them up to the state of the art. Instancing is a good way for us to provide small adventures that can be approached in a more casual fashion. Solo players or small groups can jump in when they don't have much time and still accomplish something. Additional classes provide interesting new ways to experience the game and cater to both new and old players. We are very proud of the results in all of these cases.
