Fable Reviews

Another trio of websites have posted reviews for Fable, all of which give the game a fairly positive score. The first is at Thunderbolt Games with an overall score of 8/10:
Yet I can't help but add in a few more points to this already super-sized review. Fable has so much to offer and does almost everything right, but there still seems to be people who cannot accept or appreciate the game for what it is. It's not Morrowind and it's not Knights of the Old Republic, but it's not trying to be. You can't really compare them like for like because they all offer distinctively different takes on what is a hugely broad genre. Fable doesn't reinvent the wheel, but it does offer an enjoyable and focused modern gaming experience which is both streamlined and accessible to all. It may not be the best RPG ever, but it's certainly one of the best.

The second is at Into Liquid Sky with an overall score of "B":
So is Fable a good or bad game? Good, easily. There's a lot here to enjoy, although you need to go into the game with a head clear of the marketing PR. Fable is one of those games that can be many things to many people, and because of this, many people may just want to rent it to see if it's what they want. For some, the rental will be enough to finish the game, or even give up halfway through. For others, it should sell them on the adventure.

And the third is at The Gamers Temple with an overall score of 90%:
Fable is definitely an achievement and should be experienced by all RPG fans. It introduces some innovative concepts to the genre that hopefully will have an effect on future games. Its world is not as wide-open and free as it would have you believe and you can still see repetition and patterns in its AI, but the game is enjoyable nonetheless and well worth your time to play.
