Players can roam the towns entering most buildings and search around looking for items. Usually they are books, appearance cards, and the occasional potion to restore health or mana (which is used to cast spells). This activity is frowned upon - stealing from people's homes is an evil act. Those cards, however, will alter the player's appearance by giving the opportunity to get a new hairstyle or tattoo. This can affect how people react as well. A bald, clean shaven person will get a different reaction than one with a tattoo covering his face.
