Originally announced back in 2019 as a digital adaptation of Awaken Realms' hit board game inspired by Arthurian legends, Tainted Grail: Conquest launched into early access in 2020. The idea there was to experiment with the digital interpretation of the game's systems with a roguelite mode first, before starting to work on a story-driven RPG campaign using those rules.

But later that year, there was a course correction, expanding this adaptation into two separate games - the deckbuilding Conquest, and the more traditional open world experience with Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon (you can check out some gameplay over here).

And with The Fall of Avalon now looking to start its own early access journey in March 2023, IGN brings us a story trailer for the game:
