Dungeons & Dragons TV Series Ordered

While Dungeons & Dragons the game is going through a bit of a rough spot, its video adaptations seem to be doing just fine. In fact, according to this Deadline article, eOne and Paramount Pictures, the studios behind the upcoming Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie, are now also working on a new live action TV series intended to launch a D&D universe spanning multiple shows.

At the moment, we know that one Rawson Marshall Thurber will be writing and directing the show's pilot episode and that it will be streaming on the Paramount+ service.

Some extra details:

Adapting Dungeons & Dragons for television has been a major focus for eOne under President of Global Television Michael Lombardo following the company’s 2019 acquisition by Hasbro. The live-action series has been tipped to be the studio’s largest-scope TV project ever, potentially launching a “Dungeons & Dragons” universe spanning multiple scripted and unscripted shows.

Overseeing the series for eOne is Gabriel Marano, the company’s EVP Scripted Television.
