Location: The Docks (Act I)

Overview

At night at the Docks, you'll encounter groups of Redwater Raiders. If you kill enough of these groups, then you'll trigger the quest Pier Pressure.

You'll only be able to enter the Disused Passage at night.


1 - Qunari Compound

You won't be allowed to enter the qunari compound until the end of the quest Blackpowder Promise. Inside, you'll meet the Arishok, and you'll also find a pillar that will give you the "lore" codex entry for The Qunari.


2 - Shady Merchant

You'll be able to buy a variety of items from the shady merchant, including the recipes for Tar Bombs and Deathroot Toxin. "Just don't ask where anything comes from."


3 - Ship Captains (Night)

The ship captains are involved in the quest Secret Rendezvous.


4 - Lord Renvil Harrowmont

If you helped Bhelen Aeducan gain the throne in Orzammar during Dragon Age: Origins, then when you approach this spot, you'll witness Lord Renvil Harrowmont and his bodyguards being attacked by Carta thugs. After helping Renvil fend off the attack (or not), he'll inform you that Bhelen is trying to eliminate his family, and he'll ask you to help. If you agree, then you'll receive the quest Last of His Line.


5 - Bonny Lem

The first time you approach this spot, you'll get attacked by some Coterie thugs, including a rogue and a mage. After dealing with the threat, you'll be able to use Lem as a merchant, and he'll sell you a variety of items, including a Staff of the Primal Order and Thudpucker's Fist.


6 - "Half-Braid" Silsam's Remains

When you click on the remains, you'll receive the quest "Remains of the Outlaw 'Half-Braid' Silsam." To complete the quest, you'll just need to deliver the remains to Eb Silsam in the Dalish camp on Sundermount. When you do, you'll receive 50 silvers and 250 xp.


7 - Deathroot

Deathroot is a resource necessary for poisons. You'll get 200 xp for picking it.


Exits:
  1. Entrances to the Disused Passage. You'll only be able to use these entrances during the night.
  2. World exit.
