1 - Tiresias

The projection of Tiresias will trigger the main quest line for the Immortal Throne expansion pack. He'll tell you that "your deeds above have created strife below," and he'll ask you to seek out "the sorceress of the Ixian Wood."

Note: Tiresias was a figure in Greek mythology. He was a blind prophet, and at one point he was transformed by Hera into a woman. You can learn more about Tiresias here.

2 - Eurymachus

Eurymachus will let you know that the sorceress you seek is named Medea.

3 - Teukros

Teukros is a storyteller. He'll tell you about Orpheus and Eurydice, and how Orpheus attempted to rescue Eurydice from the underworld. You'll actually meet Orpheus and Eurydice later in the campaign.

4 - Maera

Maera will trigger the side quest "An Impossible Task." She'll tell you that when her son fell ill, she went to the sorceress Medea for help, but that instead of helping her, Medea demanded that she deliver the tome of "some ancient queen," which Maera had no way of doing. Maera will then ask you to perform the task for her, and she'll suggest that one of Medea's students, named Procne, might help you out.

After dealing with Procne and completing the task, when you return to Maera you'll receive 35,000 experience points.

5 - Arion

Arion is a sailor. He'll tell you that a giant crab is plaguing the town of Damatria. This will trigger the side quest "A Crab Story."
