I loved the phone number you could call and had sent it to many of my friends, lots of them purchased the game simply based off the phone call. Eventually many of my friends where sending it to their friends and it became one big thing going around. When the team sat down to come up with the phone conversation how did they go about doing so? Also were there any other ideas the team had for advertising the game?
We sent that challenge over to one of our designers and he wrote the whole thing. I don't remember where the initial idea came from exactly. Another idea was that we were going to have all the developers at PAX walking around in nothing but purple thongs. We received some resistance to the idea, but this year for sure.
