Demigod Reviews

Despite the fact that most of the multiplayer issues have been resolved, Demigod's piracy-related problems at launch are still being mentioned in the two latest reviews.

Game Vortex goes with a 77%:
The developers of Demigod are definitely on to something here. They've expanded on a subgenre that is still fresh. However, Demigod came out of the gate with a pretty big stumble. On top of the connection issues, there's just not enough in this game to warrant spending forty of your hard-earned dollars. It may take some time before it is able to stand shoulder to shoulder with the best games in both RPG and RTS genres, but I think that day will come sooner, rather than later. If you're really aching for a new PC title, I recommend holding off on Demigod, if only for a while.

While Ozelwebtasarim gives it a 9/10:
Also, unlike DotA, you can determine the quality of the reinforcements you get by upgrading it in your citadel. This is essential to winning in the long run as your reinforcement would eventually pile up and overwhelm the enemy if they didn't upgrade as much. Also the concept of an escalating conflict is presented in the War Rank gameplay mechanics. War Rank is gained by capturing and holding flags and is required to unlocked the higher level citadels upgrades which may tip the balance as I had said. However, the actual mechnics of War Rank is fairly enigmatic with theories saying that creep kills contribute to it.
