RPG Vault Focus: Games Convention, Part One

A few RPG developers - including Divinity 2's Swen Vincke and Storm of Zehir's Matthew Rorie - offer their thoughts on this year's Leipzig Games Convention in a new multi-part feature on RPG Vault. A couple of paragraphs from Mr. Rorie:
So far as the Games Convention itself goes, it got started for me on Wednesday when I was asked to participate in Atari's press conference, which effectively acted as a roundup of our publisher's upcoming games, including Storm of Zehir. Each producer was supposed to speak for a minute or so, and I was by far the most nervous person in the room during the rehearsal. Luckily, I got my act together by the time I had to take the stage, and I think it went pretty well. I'm fairly used to being on camera at this point, but this was the first occsion I was called upon to speak in front of a large live audience. It'll take some time to get used to that.

The rest of my show revolved around sitting in a booth and showing Storm of Zehir to the press. I had heard that Europe, while an important console market, is a dedicated PC region, so I was expecting some interesting conversations. Overall, the European press was very knowledgeable about Neverwinter Nights and asked some pretty direct questions, and most people who came to our demo seemed to leave excited about what we showed.
