Kunark has been lost since the original Everquest, sunk into the waters, but it has now risen again and is being ruled by the Iksar. Not the Iksar so many are familiar with as the playable race in EverQuest 2 at the moment, but a different faction with different motivations, as they've been split from their peoples for a long time. Fighting over Kunark are the Spiroc, a beautiful winged creature, and the dragons. The Sarnak, the new playable race, are caught in this fight, and there are essentially four sides battling it out, with no alliances as yet.
