White Gold: War in Paradise Interview

RPG Vault has conjured up a three-page interview with Deep Shadows' Sergey Zabaryansky, Roman Lut, and Alexander Khrutsky about their upcoming FPS/RPG hybrid, White Gold: War in Paradise.
Q: What kinds of gamers are most likely to enjoy While Gold, and what elements will appeal to RPG fans? What's the likely duration of the single-player campaign, and will it be replayable?

A: I think that RPG fans and shooter fans will find what they are waiting for and want to see in the game. We're develop a dynamic RPG in a huge world that has FPS-style combat. The game gives the player full freedom of action. You can move wherever you like, talk to different characters, take dozens of quests and decide which of them you would like to accomplish. The world is seamless, so you will not see any loading screens in the game or anything that would deter you from playing.

In the game, we will have seven different factions, and depending on your actions towards them, your relations with them will improve or decline. There is also a system of "perks"; when you complete quests, you gain experience that you can use to add new ones. It can be hard for a player to complete some missions without using abilities granted by perks. You will see over 20 in the game, covering most skills from Stealth to Explosives.

The average time to go through the entire single-player campaign will be around 30 to 40 hours. The gameplay process depends on the faction that you're helping the most, and the ways you solve quests, so the game will allow full replayability.

Based on the interview, it doesn't sound liek this game will be affiliated with their previous RPG hybrid, Boiling Point: Road To Hell.
