Though the tabletop version of Warhammer allows players to lead armies of several different cultures and races, the online game will initially focus on just six. In keeping with the warlike nature of the game, the six races are arranged in two broad alliances. The forces of Order -- Elves, Dwarves and human Empire -- fight against the forces of Destruction -- Greenskins, Dark Elves and Hordes of Chaos. Much as every member of the Super Friends has their own nemesis in the Legion of Doom, each member of the alliances in Warhammer finds itself paired up against one enemy on the opposing side. The Dwarves fight against the Greenskins (comprised of orcs and goblins), the Elves fight against the Dark Elves, and the human Empire fights against the forces of Chaos.
