Space Hack Reviews

A couple of new reviews for Meridian4 and Rebelmind's Space Hack hit the 'net over the past several days. The first is at Plain Games with an overall score of 2.5/5:
While Diablo may have changed the RPG genre by inventing a new way to play, Space Hack's reinvention of the wheel is not up to the same level of quality. With a greater focus on storyline and story progression, Rebelmind may find that, while the game will most likely be shorter, the quality will improve astronomically.

And the second is at GameAxis with an overall score of 7.4/10:
Overall, Space Hack is a pretty commendable effort from Rebelmind. It has a steady flow of hack and slash gameplay that would surely please the fans of the genre, as well as sporting a good amount of well-designed alien enemies with a cheap price tag to boot. Of course, it can get boring and repetitive at times, but it's a good game to tide you over while you're waiting for better games to come along. Bottom line is Space Hack is a game on a budget but is able to utilize it to its limit. It's a worthwhile first attempt into game development, and hopefully they'll make more titles in the future!
