Leonardo's researches into the body, both human and animal, and his designs for complex machinery have advanced knowledge immeasurably, while his artworks are acclaimed masterpieces by all who see them. Frail of hand he may be, but he is a giant in the realm of the mind.
One of his initial tasks for the Duke will be to combine these areas into a magnificent bronze sculpture of the Duke's father on horseback, and he has been studying anatomy carefully in preparation. Leonardo is equally famous for the time he takes to finish his pieces however, and he has made little progress beyond sculpting the statue in clay.
