As to whether it's worth buying this expansion, I would advise caution. If all your friends already have it, they will want you to have fun with them in Monster Missions and you should go buy it. Otherwise, keep kiting, soloing, and doing countless (Creator) missions in Dragons of Norrath. Also, if you find yourself unable to play with your lower level friend, buy it for the shrouds so that you can help your friend with their experience treadmill.

Overall, I feel that the quote the invading bards in the Nagafen Monster Mission say when they die expresses my views on the expansion: (le sigh.)
