Fable Takes Home An Award

GameSpy has given Big Blue Box and Lionhead's Fable tenth place in their Xbox "Game of the Year" award. Here's a bit about why:
When Peter Molyneux promised to bring the greatest RPG ever made to the Xbox, nearly everyone scoffed at his boldness. As it turned out, Peter simply used the wrong descriptive term. While Fable may or may not be the greatest of all time, there's no doubt that it's the most ambitious. The game sees you take control of a young boy who lives a quiet life in an idyllic oceanside town. Within the first 15 minutes, however, everything changes, as his family is slaughtered and the town is burned to the ground. If not for the actions of a mysterious hero, our young protagonist would have joined his family in the afterlife. As it was, the boy is taken to a Heroes Guild, where he learns to fight, shoot, and use magic to either battle the forces of evil or aid them.
