Vanguard will have situational damage, where your limbs are targets to receive damage. Some of you might think it's kind of ridiculous, "He punched me in the ear!". Situational damage calls for situational armor!
That's right. Certain armor will be much more efficient against some monsters than others. For example, let us say you are fighting a monster that stands 2 feet tall. Do you really think he is going to hit you in the head? Unlikely, so before battle, just make sure you put on your heavy leggings and boots and you should be all set. You're planning on fighting a Fire Golem? Well then I think its best you put on your Fire resistant gear before you go into battle.
