World of Warcraft Beta Journal #4

The guys over at The Wargamer have dished up yet another beta journal for Blizzard's World of Warcraft. In the fourth installment, they discuss talents, mounts, the auction system, and more. Check it out:
The auction system works much like the system in Final Fantasy XI, albeit with a much cleaner and user friendly interface. Auction houses are confined to the city they are in, meaning that players in Ironforge cannot purchase items on sale at the auction house in Stormwind. Players can put up all sorts of items, ranging from weapons to armor to consumables, set an auction limit and even buy out the price for bidders who just.can't.wait. Bidders are free to bid on the items they want and are kept up to date by the in-game mail system. If an item is won, it is delivered to the player's mail box. For me, it's a very welcome addition to the game, and makes harder-to-come-by items more accessible. I have my eye on a sweet spear for my new troll warrior, and he will have it - unfortunately, the auction house in Orgrimmar is terribly empty compared to, say, the thriving Stormwind market. I know people are playing way too many humans, but I've also wondered if the orcs, as a race, are smart enough to find the auctioneers in the bank. Maybe the trolls will show them the way.
