In Player vs. Player combat you can dish a ton of damage and rack up kills and realm points. That advantage is also a form of weakness because you will often be the first person your opponents will go after. Casters fall fast, can be one shot by rogues and occasionally other casters, and are one of the most dangerous classes. Get used to death. You will miss out on a lot of realm points because you will be lying face first in the dirt.
