Neverwinter Nights Interview @ IGN PC

The guys over at IGN PC were able to track down Greg Zeschuk, Ray Muzyka and Trent Oster of BioWare for another interview that delves a little bit further into Neverwinter Nights. An excerpt to follow:

IGNPC: What's the goal then for you? What's Neverwinter supposed to accomplish?

Greg Zeschuk: Neverwinter was meant to be an easier step towards an massively multiplayer game. We thought, "It would have a GM mode and tools, so if we want to make an MMP, it'll be really easy." We were totally deluded. I think what we've always said is that it's hard in its own right. MMPs are very challenging to make and Neverwinter is too. It's different than those but they're equivalently difficult. We just didn't realize that, as a company BioWare doesn't like to stop halfway. We say if we're gonna go there, we're gonna go all the way and make this DM so you can do all kinds of crazy things. The funniest thing about it is when you setup a DM, once it's implemented there's always more stuff in there than you planned. And it's better.
