To kick off their "IGN First" coverage of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the editors at IGN have published a 15-minute video of the beginning of the title. The video purposefully avoids the story-driven tutorial and the first quest of the game, but includes the very first conversations between Geralt and Vesemir, and a good indication of the freedom that will be granted to players during the title.
Pretty early in the video the player decide to explore the vicinities of the village of White Orchard and ends up stumbling in an encounter they weren't equipped to handle yet. It's admittedly not much, but if it's indicative of the entire title, this will be a pretty significant departure from the more confined and story-driven first two titles.
