The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Hearthfire DLC Officially Announced

It looks like the previous rumors regarding DLC titled Hearthfire for Skyrim have been confirmed today with an official announcement on the official Bethesda blog. The DLC is coming to the Xbox 360 on September 4th for 400 Microsoft Points, and will offer players the ability to build their own houses from the ground up:

Word is:
With Skyrim's newest game add-on, Hearthfire, you can purchase land and build your own home from the ground up from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with an armory, alchemy laboratory, stable, garden, and more. Use all-new tools like the drafting table and carpenter's workbench to transform quarried stone, clay, and sawn logs into structures and furnishings. Even transform your house into a home by adopting children.

Hearthfire releases on Xbox LIVE next week (September 4th) for 400 Microsoft Points.
400 Microsoft points means around $5, which should give an indication of the price point for the DLC when it will inevitably be released on PC and PlayStation 3.

It's also worth noting that the timed exclusivity deal concerned only the first two DLC for Skyrim, which makes it likely that, were there to be more DLC releases for the title (and I don't doubt that), they'll be multiplatform since day one.
