Randy Pitchford Calls Accurate Borderlands 2 Report "Shoddy Journalism"

Borderlands 2 has been announced today exactly one day after we've reported on a rumor coming from Eurogamer which talked about an announcement coming soon, and a release for the game in 2012. What's interesting is that, as Ars Technica reports, Gearbox's Randy Pitchford commented on the rumor on Twitter, calling Eurogamer's article "shoddy journalism".
I have long maintained that we will do more with Borderlands. Shoddy journalism is not an announcement.

While I'm sure we are all perfectly aware that gaming journalism still needs to mature and live up to its mission, this says a lot about how a lot of developers and publishers see the press.
