The game takes place in the land of Thalmont. Thousands of years ago, Aziraal, the god of war, was killed in a great war. The other gods took the body of Aziraal and hid it in a secret tomb, but now various factions search for the tomb so that they can access the dead god’s power.
Five years ago, House Skelden was placed in charge of Thalmont, replacing the Karga Clan. The Karga Clan was not pleased with this change, and now they plot against House Skelden, acting as rebels and outlaws.
More recently, your adventuring band, which included your sister, was attacked and nearly wiped out near the town of Tharbakin. You and your sister escaped, but your sister disappeared one night as you fled, and you’ve been hunting for her ever since.
